Tides began with a simple observation:

Understanding people is hard.

Many of us spend years trying to improve our relationships. We read books, attend workshops, participate in counseling, study leadership, learn communication techniques, and try to become better listeners. Along the way, we discover ideas like personality differences, communication styles, emotional intelligence, active listening, triggers, and conflict patterns.

These tools can be helpful, but they often leave an important question unanswered:

What do you do when two people genuinely see the same situation differently?

Over time, it became clear that many conflicts are not caused by bad intentions. They are often the result of different personalities, communication styles, expectations, stress levels, life experiences, and emotional needs.

Tides was created to help people better understand themselves, better understand others, and navigate relationships with more clarity.

The inspiration came from years of studying communication, leadership, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and relationship dynamics. It also came from real-life experiences: repairing damaged friendships, working through relationship struggles, rebuilding trust, and learning how difficult it can be for two people to find common ground when emotions are involved.

One insight stood out above all others:

Understanding is valuable, but understanding alone is not enough.

People also need something actionable.

That realization led to the creation of Tides Resolve — a guided process designed to create a neutral space where two people can privately share perspectives, identify common ground, and work toward understanding.

The goal is not to determine who is right or wrong.

The goal is to help people move forward.

Today, Tides combines communication styles, relationship insights, coaching, and guided resolution tools to help people navigate one of the most important parts of life:
